Self Injurious Behaviors (S.I.Bs.)

When self-injurious behavior starts I usually wrap C.J. in a blanket. As he got bigger I will give him deep pressure, for example a bear hug. I also try to not say anything during S.I.Bs, because I noticed the more I would speak the worse it would get, and  he would become more frustrated. You just have to find out what works for you and your child.
