This month, we’re highlighting new volunteer positions at Our Stars Inc.

Our mission is to empower families and communities to effectively advocate for all children who have but not limited to special needs like autism and we need volunteers!

Volunteers are very important to Our Stars Inc.’s success. As a growing non-profit business, we can offer you the opportunity to expand your skills and develop your careers, all while helping a great cause. GRANT WRITER (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

Our Stars Inc., is currently seeking an experienced, creative, organized, and passionate Grant Writer. This volunteer position works closely with the Director of Development/Fundraising Director to advance Our Stars Inc. fundraising priorities.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT/FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

Our Stars Inc., is currently seeking a dedicated and goal-oriented Director of Development/Fundraising Director, a new position in the organization. The volunteer Director will have the opportunity to build the development function. The Director of Development/Fundraising Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of Our Stars Inc.’s fundraising including, the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. The Director works closely with the Grant Writer and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

The Our Stars Inc. Fundraising Committee plans for and sets annual fundraising goals and objectives; develops policies and procedures; and guides the implementation of a range of fund development initiatives (i.e. individual giving, special events, corporate/foundation proposals) aimed at diversifying Our Stars Inc.’s revenue as a charity and community-based organization. Members attend and facilitate meetings, make group decisions and plans, and contribute their expertise and contacts to build the committee’s fundraising endeavors. All activities carried out under the guidance of the Board of Directors and the Director of Development/Fundraising Director.

FUNDRAISER (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

The Our Stars Inc. Fundraiser will coordinate event volunteers, pledge campaigns, and event planning support for all donor cultivation events. This includes working on all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training and retention, notifying the Grant Writer of upcoming CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) registry dates and securing venues for donor cultivation events. This position also serves as primary support personnel for the Fundraising events.

SUPPORT GROUP LEADER/FACILITATOR (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

Our Stars Inc. is looking for a Support Group Leader/Facilitator to help facilitate the exchange of support and information to a group of caregivers on a regular basis (commonly once a month).

MEET UP GROUP LEADER (volunteer) – Our Stars Inc.

Our Stars Inc. is looking for a Meet Up Group Leader to help with locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month).
